Learn to protect your personal time

One of the most valuable things you can learn as you get older is that you don’t haveto say yes to everything.

There will always be requests, responsibilities, invitations, and expectations.

But constantly putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own can leave very littleroom for rest and personal enjoyment.

Protecting your time doesn’t mean becoming selfish or ignoring people you care about.

It means recognizing that your own needs matter too.

Set aside time for hobbies, rest, exercise, or simply doing nothing for a while.

You don’t need to justify every quiet afternoon or every moment spent enjoyingsomething you love.

A balanced lifestyle includes time for other people and time for yourself.
